Administer the Opportunities Fund Program for persons with disabilities in BC Lower Mainland.

Conduct needs analysis with eligible employers.Negotiate work placements for participants with multiple barriers, 24 hours per week for 10 weeks. Administer the wage subsidy, including accounting, tracking of time sheets and reimbursements. Represent Alexandra Neighbourhood House in outreach activities.Provide one-on-one job coaching to participants.

Responsible for directly engaging with employers and industry in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to support the efforts and outcomes of the newly created Local Employment Planning Council (LEPC) project.

The Workshop Developer is responsible for creating uniformity of job search workshops delivered in 15 Employment Ontario locations. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT- Developed a pilot Northern Lights University workshop for staff in Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, Oshawa, Ajax, and Worklinks for Women, championing the uniqueness of tone and position to Northern Lights Canada- Developed a process to track and evaluate performance of facilitators ensuring that EO targets and NLC expectations are met- Collaborated with team leaders and facilitators to collect all digital and printed versions of NLC workshops to create workshops in the EO TransformationThe Employment Counsellor conducts a needs–based service determination and aids participants in developing a customized Employment Service Plan that will best meet their needs and achieve a successful outcome in the most efficient manner.COUNSELLING-Helping job seeker clients find employment through the employment service plan framework-Career decision making through personality assessments (MBTI, True Colors, PD)-Provides information on job search strategies and Labour Market Information
