I've been building security for 20 years, running tools, projects, programs, and people. In that time I've progressively grown my understanding of technical, security, and business matters and advanced myself professionally and personally from a junior security grunt to a security leader.In a nutshell:I build things. I think we can all work better together. I think diverse perspectives make us stronger. I believe you can always help the person next to you, regardless of their circumstances and yours. I think anything in tech is teachable if the student has the right mindset. I believe security is a people, process and technology problem -- in that order. Iβve run tools (Qualys, Outpost24, McAfee, Tripwire, Cyberark, Checkmarx, Veracode), Iβve pentested and done Vulnerability Assessments. Gap assessments and architecture as well as program building. PCI, SOX, and ISO 27001 audits. Leadership justification and interaction to the highest levels. I have Cloud experience in AWS and Azure.And lastly, my favorite times in the past decade and a half have come from mentoring and teaching. People matter.
