As a Design Director within EY's Design Studios, I am responsible for managing the strategy and execution of large-scale digital transformation efforts for F500 companies across technology stacks including Adobe (Adobe Experience Platform), Salesforce, Pega, Appian, and ServiceNow. Innovation Principal within Pega's Client Innovation team, I consulted with new and existing Pega clients to help them visualize new and innovative solutions leverage digital technology. As the Founder, Owner, and Creative Director at Interactive Mechanics, I touched all aspects of the business from administration, human resources, financials, design and development, and sales. Interactive Mechanics is an interactive design firm that partners with cultural, educational, and healthcare organizations on design, development, user experience, and strategy.In my role as Creative Director, I oversaw and implemented research and strategy, experience and interface design, technical direction and front-end development, and overall account growth. I facilitated dozens of design thinking workshops and collaborative design studios to co-create with our clients and their audiences. I oversaw the successful launch of over 40 projects in three years for some of the largest cultural institutions, including The Smithsonian, National September 11 Memorial and Museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.As the business owner, i bootstrapped the company from the ground up, growing the company from one part-time staff member in 2014 to a team of ten full-time staff in 2018. We ran a well-known fellowship program for two summer sessions which garner industry praise, and were awarded as the Timmy Award's Best Tech Workplace for Diversity because of our inclusive hiring practices and strong company culture that promoted equity and democracy as part of our core tenets.

As Azavea's first interface and experience designer, I worked closely with the software development teams to design, implement, and enhance user experiences and interfaces for internal products and client applications, as well as assisting in company branding and marketing collateral creation. Over four years, I worked closely with company leadership to transform our design process to be user-centric, hiring three additional designers and building out a formal practice that included research and strategy, regular testing and validation, and experience and interface best practices.During my time at Azavea, I built over 30 software applications, including four internal products, most notably HunchLab, a machine learning platform for predictive policing that received international recognition. I was also involved heavily in internal research and development, including exploring the application of Google Glass as part of HunchLab as an early-adopter in the Glass Beta program.

As an interactive Design, I worked with the Night Kitchen team to develop digital projects for arts and culture organizations and pharmaceutical companies, including Bristol Myer Squibb, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Mount Vernon Historical Society, and the Penn Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. I collaborated closely with other designers and developers to design and build interactive websites, mobile applications, and interactive experiences for physical spaces, often serving as a design to development go-between. I also managed the design internship program, providing guidance to other designers.

In a cross-functional role, I worked in web and graphic design, video production, and web development, collaborating closely with the company's owner and other producers. Given ownership of three social "travel lifestyle" websites with responsibilities including: web design and development to optimize the social platforms, platform marketing via paid and organic channels, including search engine optimization, and video production and post-production. As part of my role, I traveled regularly in Latin America to film on location and promote the company and websites.

I worked as a Graphic Designer creating advertisements and spreads, collaborating with writers and photographers, and partnering directly with printers to ensure each issue was completed on time under strict deadlines.
