I consider myself fortunate to have a career that has allowed me to explore a range of skills and interests. It's a perfect fit for a multipotentialite in the creative space: writing a news release or fundraising appeal one day, shooting and editing a video on another, creating social media content on still another, proofreading and editing copy on even yet another—and most often, some combination of all of these and more on the same day. You can pore through more specifics further down the page, but I've worked as a higher education director of communications, radio announcer and news director, TV news producer and assignments manager, and photography/video business owner/creator. All of those experiences—and especially the 20 years in higher ed communications and marketing—give me a good platform from which to take on leadership roles in communications, marketing, alumni relations, and related functions.My software/platform-specific skills include (but are not limited to) proficiency in: Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Davinci Resolve, Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Wordpress.
