Tooling Manager - Daily responsibilities of managing (70+) production / quality machining and (16) machine maintenance mechanics and electricians, in the production of various automotive components. The customer base is all O.E.M. parts for 95% Toyota and 5% Subaru / Isuzu, GM and Dana Corp. Apply Kaizen Improvement methods / PDCA problem solving methodology, root cause analysis & corrective / preventive quality planning in production daily activities. Utilize lean manufacturing and JIT to meet daily requirements.Responsibilities of budget control, cost improvements, new line installations, new cnc machine cells, APQP, Control Plan, set quality standards for production, establish quality stations at the production line, establish training t/m’s on Q.A. check procedures, reduction of downtime to achieve utilization rates for production. Set procedures on the cnc machining cells and production process of manufacture by the implementation and use of QS9000 standards.
