Started freelance consulting to individuals and small business. Diagnosed and repaired a diverse range of issues ranging from simple software updates to data recovery from unbootable computers to troubleshooting wireless network deployments, mail server issues and more. Deployment of wireless networks, adminstration of Windows and Mac servers, desktop clients, thin clients, active directory structures, DNS servers, mail servers.

WaveComm is a local company providing paging, voicemail, two-way radio, and high-speed internet services throughout the twin states. My duties here included technical support over the phone as well as via e-mail, managing the network infrastructure, monitoring system uptime, researching new technologies and implementing these new technologies in the field. Troubleshooting anything from customer connection problems, DNS and mail issues, etc.

ValleyNet, Inc is a non-profit Internet Service Provider providing internet connectivity, public educational workshops, and other community-oriented activities. My duties included technical support / troubleshooting over the phone, via email, as well as bench work on customer machines. Long-term projects that were my responsibility include all aspects of the Macintosh side of their distributed CD. This includes a user configuration wizard to configure Mac OS X clients to connect via their service. This interface was designed written utilizing Apple’s Applescript Studio programming environment.

Worked as an associate network administrator alongside two others in charge of running, maintaining, and troubleshooting multiple computer networks at multiple sites including three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one vocational school, and a district supervisory office. My responsibilities here included general helpdesk support, on-site support/troubleshooting as needed, server maintnance tasks, assistance in designing and implementing a backup strategy, extensive work with Microsoft Active Directory as applies in Windows 2003 Server with a mixed client-base including versions of Windows 95c through XP as well as a lab of Apple Macintosh computers. Responsibilities also including primary maintnaince/ troubleshooting of Microsoft ISA Proxy Server software containing an add-in for internet content filtering, primary troubleshooter and manager for perimeter firewall/router.
