Mike is currently working as a Solution Architect and Teamlead as well as a freelance Microsoft technology stack focussed IT Consultant. His main focus lies on requirements engineering, business analysis, solution architecture design and bespoke development utilizing C#, .NET and SQL Server. He has over 20 years experience in front-end development with over 10 years experience in IT consultancy, including working for the German branch of the Swedisch consulting house Acando. Recent projects included Arvato Digital Services' Microsoft Store Team, working on the strategic PCF redesign and payment gateway integration, as well as the Deutsche Post DHL, as part of the handheld device intergration projekt HASCI, fullfilling the role of system designer, business analyst, crossdisciplinary Teamlead and .NET Developer.A German native, having lived in Ireland from 2002 onwards, Mike ended his tenure as Technical Director at leading Dublin digital media agency X Communications in June 2010, where he had been leading a team of ASP.NET web developers, using C# with a strong specialization in CMS solutions. Prior to joining X Communications, Mike served as Ecommerce Consultant at Centralwings Poland and LSA Link Ireland. During his studies, he also had the opportunity to work as Assistant Systems Analyst at Walsh Western Int. and as Customer Care Agent at PayPal Europe.Earlier in his career, Mike served for several years as Retail Banking Executive at Deutsche Bank Germany while pursuing his further interests in game design and development on the Windows platform. He is the co-founder of the German freeware label Horizont Enterainment.Mike went back to education after emigrating to Ireland, attending Tipperary Institute where he studied EBusiness to Honours Degree level and graduated with 1st class honours as best in class in 2006. Furthermore, he also attended evening classes at Trinity College Dublin from mid 2008 and graduated with a Masters in Computer Science (M.Sc. in MIS) in late 2010.
