Assist in directing and managing Recreation, Aquatics and Senior services; make recommendations regarding recreation and senior programs; oversee day-to-day recreation operations. Serve as acting Director of Parks and Recreation when required.Prepare and administer the Recreation, Aquatics and Senior programs budget; monitor and approve expenditures within budget limits. Represent the Recreation Department at various meetings and participate in professional and community organizations. Coordinate recreation activities with other City departments and divisions, and with outside agencies.

Provide responsible staff assistance to the Assistant City Manager / Director of Community Services.Serve as acting Director of Community Services as assigned.Assume day to day oversight and management responsibility for all services and activities of the Community Services Department including Classes/Special Events, Aquatics/Sports, Facilities and Human Services Divisions. Oversee City-wide Parks Master Plan project and manage healthy community planning grant. Serve as staff for the Community Services Commission and Aging and Veterans Commission.Attend City Council meetings as required.Prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence.Act as logistics chair in EOC during Emergency.
