MY WHY: I inspire business leaders to achieve clarity and direction in their quest to grow in their business and personal lives.MY MISSION: Whether functioning as a Vistage Chair guiding a group of CEOs, Presidents or Owners of high performing businesses or serving as a coach to a leader, my efforts are focused toward helping them navigate through uncharted situations. The process can involve some tough choices and decisions that may seem to go against the very culture deemed by some to have made the business successful. If the business is to continue on its forward path, the goal must be to make the process of change as palatable and rewarding as possible. MY VIEWPOINT: My view of an organization's most critical assets will differ from that of the typical entrepreneur. Whether moving forward in a growth mode or contracting to insure future existence, a business must have a foundational focus in its people and its cash. Without a focus in these two most critical assets there is little hope for long term viability. MY EXPERIENCE: Beginning on the manufacturing floor of a family owned business, I have led and managed at all organizational levels. As a result, I understand the needs and viewpoints of the people at each of these levels and believe that they need to be given serious consideration as a part of making any critical business decision. As CEO, President and Operating Partner, I have gained hands-on experience in Start-Up, Acquisition, Consolidation, Turn-Around and Liquidation activities. An action oriented decision maker, I am considered to be unflappable, never willing to back away from a problem or a challenge. My leadership experience in business extends deeply into my private life where, over the years, I have become a member of a number of social, civic and professional organizations eventually taking the reins of most of the groups I joined. Leading in a volunteer environment teaches a different, but complimentary, set of management skills.
