Manages off-shore garment and fabric factories in six (6) countries. I am responsible for issuing purchase orders, maintaining Work In Process, monitoring quality, inspections, and coordinating logistics and transportation(ocean & air). I also assist the Director of Supply Chain Management in locating and validating new source of supply for specific garment programs. Additionally, I am manager in charge of the company’s domestic sourcing, negotiating and buying team which accounts for 51% of company spend.

Directed all operations of the LSI Global Solutions, an import/export and strategic sourcing company. Core duties included product specific sourcing, sales, purchasing, and supply chain management of all products imported from offshore suppliers located in Chile, Uruguay, Brazil & Paraguay for accounts within the United States. Major accomplishments during my tenure with LSI Global included achieving multi-million dollar sales within the company’s first 2 years, assisting major offshore companies in the development of sales and logistics within the domestic USA market, and the development of a hardwood floor finishing company in Virginia. I also created and implemented an international supply chain process to import, warehouse and distribute approximately 300 containers per month within the United States.(Company ceased operations in 2012)

In this capacity, I was responsible for the negotiation and purchase of all raw materials for 5 manufacturing facilities. Other duties include the establishment of a Corporate Purchasing Department, establishing and implementing Corporate Policies and Procedures, the establishment of a Transportation Department, commodity "mapping" and assist in the implementation of a new Sage MAS 200 computer system.

In this capacity, I was responsible for the negotiation and purchase of product and services valued at approximately U$65 million annually, supplying 25 manufacturing facilities. • Negotiation: Involved product pricing, ocean (container), air, rail and inland freight rates (trucking & drayage), warehousing and port charges.• Purchasing: Responsible for the purchase of 100+ million board feet of lumber, both pine and hardwood. • Departmental Budget: U$65 million annually, of which 33% being dedicated to transportation• Fiscal Contributions: Under my direction, this department contributed over $1 million annually to the Corporate Purchasing Department's bottom line. This contribution was a stark contrast to the $1 million loss that was incurred the year prior to my appointment to this position.• Facilities Served. 25 company owned facilities from the Mid-West, East Coast, and Southern United States. These facilities were treating, component manufacturing, and pallet manufacturing.• ROI Responsibility: Worked closely with UFP Corporate facilities, as well as customer operations, for the purpose of maintaining specified inventory levels. This responsibility encompassed a scope of maintenance of inventory offshore, in-transit, and at the plant sites.• Communication: Managed correspondence, written and oral, Policy, procedures, quality requirements, projections, and purchased orders were developed, translated and published for all international suppliers.• Inter-company Logistics Interface: Partnered with UFP Transportation Department, to insure the timely delivery of all imported products. This effort encompassed six (6) Eastern and Gulf coast ports and US 25 manufacturing facilities.
