"Life to the full!" That is the heartbeat of this Christian artist, meteorologist, husband and father of three. With a passion for sharing the life changing power of the story of Grace through Jesus in music and speaking events, Mike loves being part of those "aha" moments when God's word connects to real life. He has been sharing this story as an artist and in his work helping to lead worship lead in the WELS for the past 10 years. With nearly 20 years in broadcast meteorology and with a background rich with teaching and coaching opportunities, Mike takes those engaging qualities and applies them to his concert and speaking settings. Mike has been married to his wife Melissa for nearly 18 years and together have three children. His full time work is with the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he serves as the Director of Operations for the meteorologist intern program "Innovative Weather". He has served for over 7 years as music director and outreach coordinator for The Point of Grace Campus Ministry in Milwaukee and serves on the ministry team of St. Paul's Lutheran in Muskego WI where he leads worship twice/month. - See more at: http://mikewestendorf.com/about_mike/

- Academic Staff, teaching the forecast briefing class, changing the class structure to have an operations and communications focus- Responsible for developing a weather internship/operation- Responsible for the training of students to act as operational forecasters- Aid in the recruiting of clients and the integration of client services into the operation

I helped to lay the foundation for an experiential initiative for grad/undergrad students at the University. This initiative is what eventually became Innovative Weather.

- I was hired on at Weather Eye, Inc. as a meteorologist and was responsible for utility and radio broadcasts.- In 2000 I became the Director of Operations. While holding this position, I was responsible for organizing and implementing all aspects of daily operation. Additionally, I worked with universities to promote job opportunities and I worked with clients to ensure the satisfaction of our product. It was during this time that we launched www.wantsomeweather.com- In 2002 I took on additional responsibilities as the Special Project Manager and handled promotions for the company. I was the on-air personality for morning forecasts. I also was responsible for customizing forecasts for over 200 stations across 13 states.

Worked as a severe weather assistant to then chief meteorologist Paul Joseph at the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee.
