I have developed a particular interest in the conservation and repair of historic structures and have worked on some of the most iconic and award winning buildings in Oxford. A large proportion of my work has involved the complex refurbishment of historic buildings and sites, many of which are listed or Scheduled Ancient Monuments. I have a wealth of experience of sensitively restoring historic fabric, as well as carefully interlinking modern designs with existing structures and the meticulous approach and attention to detail these projects require is something I thoroughly enjoy.I enjoy the process of peeling back the layers of history of a building, understanding how the original builders constructed and subsequent generations of modifications and repairs. Over the years I have gained a good understanding of traditional construction processes, reusing these for sympathetic structural repairs and alterations. I specialise in the repair and alterations of historic buildings, but have great experience designing new builds, many of which have been award winning projects. I am able to draw on this experience from such projects to use modern repair and construction methods to supplement the traditional.
