Area Healthy Communities Manager responsible for leading & delivery of our healthy community strategy across 23 centres located in the East of England. Working with the operational teams to develop and deliver well-defined implementation plans with agreed-upon business targets, operational objectives and social impact measures. Continuously work towards increasing social value, revenue generation and accreditation. Responsible for developing and delivering income generation plans to utilise funding opportunities to achieve agreed income growth targets. To work collaboratively with AM/CM/GM to devise and implement a localised Healthy community action plan. Support with financial management and budget development within a complex funding environment.

To ensure the strategic and day to day management of 5 major commercial leisure centres across two contracts with a combined membership of 11,000 and 7,000 average weekly visits.

Spearheaded the day-to-day and strategic operation of 5 corporate fitness and wellbeing facility with a membership of 10,000. Led and managed a team of 65: Collaborated with the Regional Manager to develop a new employee evaluation process. Delivered performance improvements across the 18-person team involved. Trained and motivated a diverse range of individuals to exceed KPIs and consistently deliver excellent customer service. Planned and rolled out new marketing strategy which resulted in 22% membership base growth. Designed and implemented new KPI reporting processes: Reduced time spent on administration by fitness and finance managers. Ran a pilot programme, before rolling out across the contract. Delivered repeated YOY financial growth of up to 8% of the personal training and casual group exercise programme. Proactively engaged and built two new charity partnerships, which resulted in a 42% increase in patient referrals. Planned and project managed the refurbishment of two exercise studios and an 85-station gym. Worked with the Group Head of Health & Wellbeing to design a bespoke wellbeing package to reduce employee absence. Collated key data, produced monthly reports analysing impacts and outcomes and presented to the Regional Account Manager. Built strong working relationships across the business – from client directors, to the onsite Physiotherapist – to promote strong communication flow and continual improvement.
