I formed MIW in 1989 at the age of 22 with the help of a soft loan from “The Princes Trust.” Initially trading from a small office in Gateshead, MIW has slowly and steadily grown to become one of the largest independent water cooler companies in the UK, supplying over 8,000 schools, colleges, and businesses nationwide.MIW is the UK's sole importer for "Elkay Water Coolers" the world’s best-selling drinking fountains. We now operate from a 15,000 sq. ft. purpose-built factory complete with an R&D facility, supplying vandal-proof drinking fountains (indoor & outdoor), water coolers, bottle refill stations. My engineering background means I take an active role, and get great satisfaction, in designing and developing new products.I’m also actively involved in the day to day running of MIW Water Cooler Experts and still very much enjoy talking & meeting customers on a daily basis. I am proud to be a supporting member of Greenpeace and work with other NGO's including City 2 Sea, Refill, and #OneLess.
