-------------------- Firstly, thank you for stopping by (:I am an entrepreneur/researcher based in San Francisco who is passionate about applying remote sensing technologies for scaling up coastal ecosystem restoration, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and conservation activities globally. My team's ongoing projects focus on the following topics:- Blue carbon ecosystem (mangroves, seagrasses, salt marshes) restoration- Forest regeneration monitoring and mapping- Biodiversity conservation - Nature-based solutions and carbon markets- Sustainable livelihoods and public health improvement- Ecotourism- Disaster risk reduction- Remote sensing and machine learning applications-------------------- I am also an active researcher in the blue carbon/remote sensing space and have published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in the past 10 years with the support of able mentors and super-wonderful teammates/network! In addition, I currently serve as a Science lead for the UN Volunteering Program (via MDF based in Papua New Guinea) and works closely with researchers from UC Berkeley, where I obtained my Ph.D. in collaboration with LBNL (topic: Remote sensing applications for understanding the response of tropical forests and mangrove ecosystems to climate change: Insights into NbS).
