The software is written in C# and brings together into a SQL server database, the data from a variety of sources such as Bloomberg, Barra, Oracle, Sybase, Excel reports, etc.My implementation responsibilities, at client sites, covered a wide range of technologies and tools, including SQL database management and connectivity to Oracle/Sybase, application configuration for communication with Bloomberg/Reuters/Barra/etc, as well as converting Excel based data (such as FactSet reports) into SQL scripts for direct database upload (using VBA and SQL scripts).
