Profile bio

About Michael D'Antonio

I am currently a Power Electronics Engineer with SpaceX, with a passion to design high performance and high reliability power electronics and power systems for extreme environments. My design expertise for power electronics covers a wide voltage (5 Vdc ~ 400 Vdc) and power (100 W ~ 200 kW) range, where I have focused on topological trade studies, converter design and optimization, high frequency magnetics, control, device and system packaging, thermal, and EMI. Specific design applications have included DC-DC and DC-AC converters for solar applications, unregulated high voltage to regulated low voltage DC-DC power conversion, solid-state DC fault interrupts, three-phase motor drive inverters, high step-down ratio point of load converters, and magnetic-based sensors. On the power systems side I have been involved in high level power system architecture trade studies for fault tolerance, power and energy capability analysis, and full scale system-level testing.

Listed skills include Power Electronics, Matlab, C, Circuit Design, and 21 others.
