As a Senior TPM on the Reality Labs (RL) Privacy Infra team, I was in charge of RL Trust tooling and multiple work streams within our purpose limitation program. Purpose limitation ensures that data is used in the way it was intended, with proper user consent. Established program structure for online and backend systems, taking work from yellow to green, and pulling in timelines by months. Navigated challenging partner relationships and established predictable program updates. Most recently, I was the Program QB for the RL Digital Markets Act (DMA) preparedness work stream, leading a cross-org effort to ensure compliance.Additionally, facilitated a cross-company TPM mentoring circle and presented an internal tool at a cross-product group science fair. Participated in two hack events that led to products being resourced.

I spent my first 12 months at Meta as a Technical Program Manager on Reality Labs VR Store Team responsible for driving and implementing planning, strategic direction, and goaling for three of the Store’s six teams (Merchandising, Shopping Experiences, and Foundations). These programs contributed to over $3.3MM in realized incremental purchase volume in 2022 and $19-22MM in expected incremental purchase volume in 2023. I led execution for the Product and Engineering teams and drove both cross-org and cross-company alignment. As part of my day-to-day, I established regular meeting cadence with not only Product/Engineering, but also Data Science, Data Engineering, Design, Privacy, Legal, and Customer Support teams as needed. I was involved in experiment set up, data holdouts, and understanding impact of work, and I coordinated team planning to ladder up to VR priorities.I operated cross-org (Reality Labs) to improve user purchase experiences for Meta Quest users and developers by managing immersive experience program and improving user gifting workflows. I drove cross-company (Meta-wide) XFN alignment around logging, building a foundational structure that had VP-level engagement and readouts. The resulting dashboard was described by a VR Design Director as a “milestone moment” for the company’s ability to understand and optimize our purchase surfaces.

Selected for early promotion to O5 and frocked upon billet assignment. Executive Officer for EUCOM unit based out of Minneapolis, MN. Deputy Director of JRISE Minneapolis. Supported annual EUCOM exercise out of JAC Molesworth, UK. During the exercise, acted as primary and backup briefer for 2-, 3-, and 4-star General Officers' daily briefs. Briefed both the EUCOM Commander and Deputy Commander on current enemy posture and analysis of operational movements.

One of the first two officers ever selected for below-zone promotions to Commander in the Navy Reserves. Selected to serve as XO for JIOCEUR unit, starting in February 2023. Served as Executive Officer for unit supporting Kennedy Irregular Warfare Center, later transitioned to Nimitz Maritime Analysis Center. Responsible for day-to-day management of reserve unit admin and training departments as well as execution of Commanding Officer's vision. Unit was regional selection for Small Unit O'Connell Award. Completed JPME-II while serving as XO. Formerly the Operational Department Head for a joint division looking at strategic cyber issues for the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). Recognized by Rear Admiral Whitworth, Joint Staff J2, for work on the Joint Staff Crisis Management Team. Recognized nationally as the #1 Sharepoint Manager of 2019 by Commander, Naval Information Force Reserve (CNIFR) and served for 4 months on Active Duty as a by-name-request for J21 Sharepoint project. Served as both Training and Admin Officer, in turn, for a unit of 70+ Officers and Enlisted Sailors. Unit Junior Officer of the Year. Awarded two Joint Commendation Medals.

Selected to promote to Lieutenant Commander in JUN 2018.

Established a technology company (MikeZ Media) in 2015 to manage consulting and technology-related projects. Company established a bitcoin mining farm in 2017, showing immediate profit year-over-year since inception. Worked on an ad-hoc basis as a tech consultant, drawing on experience as a web engineer and technology leader.

Wild Sky Media is a woman-first company that was created in February of 2019 from media assets acquired from RockYou, after the company declared bankruptcy. My role continued as SVP of Engineering, where I led various projects to improve operations, streamline efficiency, and reduce costs. In July of 2019, I was offered and accepted a promotion to run the product team as well. On August 1, we launched our most ambitious project to date: mom.com. The CMS and architecture developed for mom.com is serving as the backbone for our 2020 plan to migrate all properties into a unified platform to streamline processes across the company. I was able to reduce the company's operational infrastructure costs by over $100k/year, including a 20+% reduction in hosting. My team implemented autoscaling across our properties, refactored code to eliminate waste, renegotiated and dropped redundant contracts, and shut/scaled down bloated infrastructure. In addition to cutting costs, engineering also made significant improvements in revenue, optimizing our ad stack and devising a plan to reinvigorate ad serving on some older sites, leading to an approximate 30% increase in yield on those sites.Strategically, my product team coordinated stakeholder wants and needs across the company. We formed the 2020 roadmap from that, focusing on balancing ambition with resources to come up a solid dev and product plan that give our products much-needed facelifts while enhancing revenue opportunities. We are also pushing the envelope on how to use data to solve business problems, optimizing revenue and increasing organic distribution while growing 1st party audience data. My team consists of product and project managers, web engineers, IT and operation engineers, and QA. I manage teams of teams in our United States and Thailand offices. We have offices in NYC and Bangkok along with remote employees on the West Coast.

CafeMedia's web properties split off and were acquired by RockYou in June 2018. I joined the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering. RockYou was a multi-brand media company reaching over 30MM people monthly. In my role, I managed all of the engineering operations across the US, Thailand, and India, to include development, operations, and IT.

As Senior Vice President of Engineering, I was responsible for operational execution of all development on our suite of sites, as well as the ad network (AdThrive) that we managed. I ran a team of 25 engineers, working on 6 owned and operated sites, and an ad network that serviced over 1900 content sites. My team wrote code seen by 107 million unique visitors monthly. I started at CafeMedia as a PHP developer for CafeMom, doing backend work to support new site features, sections, and updates. I worked on and/or built every section of the website. I was then promoted to Engineering Director, managing the technology for Mom.com, a site that CafeMedia developed in 2011. From there, I moved on to running the daily engineering operations for both CafeMom and MamasLatinas.At the beginning of 2013, I became the VP of Engineering. While continuing to lead the company's website development, I also took on the role of coordination of all engineering projects across all of CafeMedia's properties and internally to the organization. To that end, I implemented a unified process for prioritization and execution, so that our team can deliver quality work, efficiently.In late 2016, CafeMedia acquired AdThrive, a network of over 1200 content creators. I helped to manage the technical integration through planning and recruiting. By 2017, our team had grown significantly, and we worked working across multiple functional areas on both our owned and operated sites and the AdThrive network. As a result of my successful growth as a team leader, I was promoted to Senior Vice President.

Sentt.com is a text-messaging based mobile site which allows users to schedule text messages. I conceived, developed, and implemented the concept. Utilizing existing business relationships, Sentt.com gained a sponsorship from Verizon Wireless for approx. 8 months. During that time, I hired and trained a full time developer to implement changes.

WikiYou was a privately funded company, grown out of Bolt Media, with the mission of creating collaborative biographies for every person on earth. I ran the company on an operational basis; overseeing the initial launch. My daily role entailed managing and executing the vision set forth by the founders. I had hands on involvement in the technical specifications on the front end and back end, and I managed the work of six other people.

Bolt acquired FileLodge in April 2006, and I was promoted to General Manager. I was the lead for all product and technical decisions. Orchestrated a complete site redesign which helped drive traffic and pageviews. In one year, my changes took FileLodge from less than 10% of Bolt traffic to over 40%.

Prior company (Music Video Net) was acquired by Bolt.com. Led technical transition of Yashi.com and MusicVideoCodes.com to Bolt.

Music Video Net managed two major properties - MusicVideoCodes.com and Yashi.com - and various minor properties. These properties represented over 3MM unique visitors monthly, per Comscore. I was in charge of the entire technical implementation of the sites, from development to system administration to database implementation. I was also a minor shareholder in the company.Music Video Net was acquired by Bolt Media in late 2005.
