The Niagara College International Club (NCIC) is a group of students working together to better understand their roles as global citizens, international issues and raise awareness within the college. The NCIC aims to promote fair trade, WUSC and various other international opportunities by hosting fun meetings, fund raising, awareness campaigns and cultural events.As Vice President of Marketing Operations, my responsibilities were to promote and coordinate events to help raise funding for a womens group to continue their mission of female equality.Utilized direct and channel marketing strategies at Niagara College through the sale of goods, funding HIV/Aids awareness in South Africa. Furthermore, the International Club has proudly supported a woman’s tribe in South Africa that promotes female empowerment and education. Assisted with organizing an event to fund the ‘International Club Scholarship’ for international students struggling to secure educational funding at Niagara College. With an over pour of support from the Niagara College community, my team and I raised funding for this scholarship for the next four years, surpassing the expected results by three yearsSupervised and organized fair-trade merchandise kiosks within Niagara College to encourage support of on-going HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in South Africa
