When I joined, they lacked a reliable backup system. My first product here was a real-time MySQL replication system with daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots. This also enabled a separate QA environment from production.Several times, DDoS attacks took down our main site. Management tasked me with protection. I researched and implemented CloudFlare CDN with custom whitelisting, blacklisting, and unbanning modules to control it via API.This mitigated attacks without paying ransoms. I solved this problem.The affiliate department requested a custom link shortener with keys as the 3rd level domain instead of a parameter. This makes sense since someword.domain.com looks better than domain.com/someword or domain.com/?p=someword.I researched solutions, contracted customization, and implemented the improved branded links on our server, getting the job done.

My Indian friends invited me to manage a small poker club in Goa. I worked there for 2 winter seasons, 3 months each. My position was Head of Goa Poker Club, partnering with Indian businessmen. My responsibilities included staff management (interviewing, hiring, balancing workload), marketing (promotions, advertisements), and regulating the game process.

Together with my partner, I developed the idea to organize a 3-day conference for webmasters from several forums. We handled promotions, sold tickets, negotiated sponsorships, rented venues, hired entertainment, and arranged hotel reservations for guests. The first event had 50 attendees. We hosted two more conferences annually, with over 100 participants from different countries visiting the last one.
