At the age of six, Mikhail gained exposure to his first business experience wholesaling textiles alongside his Grandfather. Much of his childhood summers were spent at different clothing conventions at the Chicago Merchandise Mart and meeting with different clothing shop owners. The biggest takeaway was the confidence he developed in his ability to approach strangers many times his age to pinpoint ways his products could bring value to their business. These skills further served Mikhail, at the age of sixteen, as he embarked on his first independent venture his second semester of Junior year through the creation of a Medical Supply Brokerage. After many physicians from his community expressed concern for the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) available, he sought a solution by scouring the internet for reliable distributors and manufacturers. Once solidifying a network of trustworthy suppliers, the remainder of his Junior and Senior year was spent working with executives at various healthcare institutions and government entities in need of reliable, affordable equipment. In less than a year, his contributions resulted in several million dollars worth of successful transactions. Also, when not sourcing PPE, he worked on securing seller financing for his distributors through different private equity intermediaries. Since then, Mikhail has realized his passion is not business. It’s people. He was never in the textile or PPE businesses. He was always in the people business, where business was built on relationships and trust. With this in mind, he has initiated a career as an executive recruiter bringing companies value through their biggest asset: human capital. *And when not recruiting, he’s always available to discuss opportunities raising capital or sourcing deals for your firm and/or different projects.*
