I'm a linguist who is fond of learning new languages, translating and teaching. I was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. When I was 17, I moved to the Czech Republic, to study Linguistics at Charles University in Prague. At the moment, I’m getting my PhD degree in Slavic Linguistics at the same university.I’ve been teaching foreign languages (English, Czech and Russian as a foreign language) for 16 years. I have a lot of experience in translating, especially legal and film-related materials (subtitles, scripts, voice-over scripts). I’ve done translations for such major Russian film distribution and production companies as Central Partnership, Non-Stop Production and KIT. I’m also proud of my work for Roskino which involved translation of texts and presentations for their educational platform. In 2022, I also started doing localization work for Donut Lab. This field fascinated me so much I attended an on-line localization course in September 2022.In 2019, I decided to start my own business by launching a Czech and Slovak language school in St. Petersburg, Russia. The school helps students to learn Czech and Slovak, enter universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and successfully receive their student visa. For more than a year, I managed all internal processes by myself and learned a lot of useful managing and business skills. In 2022, we had 55 students in total, studying both on-line and face-to-face, 10 teachers and 1 client relations manager.I’m enthusiastic about learning new things. I’m a responsible, hardworking and creative person. I have great organizational and communication skills. I’m also ready for relocation to another country or remote work.
