In 1990, I co-founded a Swiss-American-Soviet joint venture company that quickly became one of the leaders in the IT market in the post-Soviet region, where it operated until 2017.Operating under the Verysell brand, the company pioneered the introduction of IT giants such as Microsoft, IBM, and HP to new markets and became the leading software distributor in the region. For 27 years, I served as managing director and later as chairman of the board of the Verysell Group. In 2017, I retired and moved to Switzerland. Since then, I've enjoyed a different lifestyle for about three years, serving as an independent director for several public and private companies.In 2020, a unique opportunity brought me back to the IT industry, where I am now actively working at Verysell Technologies S.A., a Swiss IT company and the core business unit of the renewed Verysell Group (verysellgroup.com). Verysell is today an international software development company headquartered in Switzerland. It offers various software development services, ranging from team augmentation to developing proprietary software products.The core of the Group's business is the Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Vietnam, which has offices in Hanoi and Da Nang (smartdev.com). It focuses on development for external customers and in-house products such as the mobile payment platform VeryPay. In contrast, the Group's commercial activities are spread around the globe to be as close as possible to its customers. The Group has sales offices in 6 cities on three continents. VeryPay (verypay.ch) offers a white-label mobile payment solution for African MNOs, while VeryPlay Studio (veryplay.studio) is a full-cycle game development company. Smart81 (smart81.io) is instrumental in accelerating the growth of start-ups and scale-ups by advising, collaborating, and developing enterprise-level technology.The Applied AI Lab, another innovative extension of the Verysell Group, demonstrates the Group's commitment to the AI revolution by providing high-level consulting services to clients to integrate AI capabilities into their business processes, thereby enhancing productivity and expanding product offerings. The AI Lab is also an internal center of excellence in this field, with a mandate for the AI transformation of the entire Group.
