Hardware Design EngineerDeepsea Power & Light Aug 2023 - PresentSan Diego, Ca, Us• Pioneered the hardware system design that integrates ethernet-based machine vision cameras for oceanographic applications.• Developed the multi-board hardware platform that provided robust isolated I/O for trigger events, RS-232/485 communication support, power management and a suite of sensors for detecting orientation and camera heading. • Designed a variety of high-constraint metal-core light engine PCBs optimized for thermal efficiency and mechanical load bearing properties. • Developed a novel design concept for a high energy pulse LED driver with closed loop control capable of outputting 50,000 lumens at video frame rate speeds (30hz). • Conducted th SPICE hardware simulations to optimize circuit performance and efficiency.• Tackled global customer RMA’s and provided technical support to customers with detailed documentation of root cause. -
Principal Engineer, Electronics And Mechanical DesignAgave Biosensors Aug 2023 - Present• Led the HW/SW development and integration of wearable devices for biometric data sensing, bioimpedance and analyte measurements. • Developed firmware for the Cortex-ARM platform for integration with an Electrochemical Front End, BLE and OTA (over-the-air update) functionality. • Prototyped and evaluated micro-needle arrays for minimally intrusive skin sensing by utilizing 46um additive technology. • Experimented with flexible substrates and innovative PCB manufacturing techniques to achieve conformal and bio-compatible circuity. -
