Developing early-phase technology prototypes for NASA patents as part of the NASA Technology Transfer Program, including a wearable RFID-enabled sensing system. Currently developing a prototype for a wearable RFID-enabled sensing system:- Created an early-phase technology prototype for a NASA patent regarding a wearable RFID-enabled sensing system. - Designed and built a hardware prototype composed of RFID tags, RFID readers, microcontrollers and sensors for a low-power wearable sensor network and interfacing low-level hardware based on the requirements set by the NASA patent.- Interfacing a plurality of low-level hardware in order to collect and process measurements from wearable sensors via RFID.- Developing a memory-efficient algorithm in C to perform RFID read/write operations to and from 2 active RFID tags with a sleep/wake-up cycle.- Designed, assembled, and tested 2 custom PCBs (printed circuit boards) for RFID Tags and RFID Readers that support an Arduino Nano, a humidity sensor, antenna, and a display.- Supervised CAD design of compact, wearable 3D printed cases for RFID tags and readers.Demonstrating prototype functionality and presenting technical progress and challenges to NASA through progress meetings. Provided oversight of the ETIC lab by maintaining laboratory equipment and supervising staff and clients with use of equipment.

Assisting with NSF-funded project, "Soil Sensing with Drones and Radar Systems" in developing a wireless Software-Defined Radio (SDR)-based system that utilizes Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensors to measure various soil properties, such as moisture and nitrate concentration.Coauthored a survey paper on wireless soil sensing technologies.Performed digital signal processing via MATLAB, Simulink, and GNU Radio to test and configure various SDR devices for radar use.
  • Brookhaven National Laboratory
    Suli Summer Intern (Computational Sciences)
Brookhaven National Laboratory Jun 2021 - Aug 2021
I have worked for Brookhaven National Laboratory in the field of Computational Science in order to mathematically model and numerically simulate diffusion of charges (using the C++ CERN ROOT framework) in Electron-Multiplying Charge-Coupled Devices (EMCCDs) to enhance the performance of x-ray sensors.

Modeling the fluid mechanics of membrane filtration in order to optimize the pleat packing density of pleated membrane filters in 3D under Dr. Pejman Sanaei. (Abstract link below and published by Bulletin of the American Physical Society).•Modeled 3D pleated filter with Stokes equations and Darcy's Law to describe flow, pressure, permeability and velocity.•Performed asymptotic analysis to simplify the model by exploiting the small aspect ratio of the pleat length to the length of the cartridge. •Programmed a numerical differential equation solver in Matlab that using the Finite Difference method, in order to solve for membrane permeability, pressure, throughput, and stream functions.•Paper was successfully published in MDPI Fluids•Presented work at NYIT Math/Physics Symposium•Presented the model at the 73rd Annual American Physical Society, Division of Fluid Dynamics conference.
  • New York Institute Of Technology
    Physics Research Assistant
New York Institute Of Technology May 2019 - Mar 2020
    Greater New York City Area
Collaborated with a small group of students in order to research the behavior of hadrons under Dr. Sophia Domokos. In order to better understand particle physics and how it ties into Holographic Duality, the research initially depends on understanding Regge Trajectories. By using concepts in quantum mechanics, it is possible to statistically model the correlation between spin and mass squared of "light unflavored mesons", "baryons", and "glueballs".Later in the research, these fundamental principles can be used to study dualities in Quantum Field Theory such as AdS/CFT Correspondence.• Utilized Mathematica to statistically model experimental Regge Trajectory data using least squares and chi-squared fitting.• Programmed a differential equation solver in Mathematica for Gauge Fields to solve for energy eigenvalues and to compare with experimental data from the Particle Data Group.
