I communicate with potential customers (broadcasters, MSPs, production companies), discuss their requirements and existing infrastructure, and tailor product packages for them from the company's range of Newsroom, MAM/Archive, Playout Automation, Ingest and On-Air Graphics solutions.I prepare and perform product and workflow demos together with product managers and support engineers. The demos and PoCs are delivered via remote connections to Azimuth systems, or shipped as deployable packages (software, DB, media assets) for customers and resellers to run in their environments. I set up and troubleshoot the demo systems, creating support tickets and feature requests where RnD assistance is required. I also take part in keeping the product documentation and internal knowledge base up to date.In 22Q4 together with Azimuth marketing and a local system integration partner I planned and supervised a highly successful first entry into the BroadcastIndia'22 trade show and the Indian market, leading a technical team and representing the company in all business development, presales and sales activities there.

I consulted a start-up advertising agency on topics covering the acquisition, conversion, editing, processing and distribution of digital video materials; developed orchestrated production workflows and video pipelines with open-source tools, including an AI video upscaling PoC. I also helped the agency out with their infrastructure as a hardware expert. Projects I participated in included music videos, corporate event branding, social media and TV adverts and promos for T1 customers like Veeam, Puma, Yandex and Avito. Leveraging my on-air CG experience, I supported AfterEffects operations, helping with standards compliance and requirements set by TV graphics systems manufacturers. I interacted with broadcasters’ personnel during commissioning of new graphics packages, for example for the Stoloto national lottery TV show. One of the manufacturers inquired about possible assistance with technical marketing for their export operations, so I assumed a role of an outsourced consultant for them. I also delivered some product analysis, market and tech trend reports. After their renewed marketing efforts had started generating a steady flow of leads from potential customers and integration partners, I was offered a full-time pre-sales position with the vendor.

I spent most of the time working overseas, on-site with broadcasters launching new Dalet installations. I would assist the project teams by handling usage questions, feature requests, bug reports and test cases, relying on my varied knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure and broadcasting workflows.Projects launched with my participation included MBC (production) and KBS (radio) in South Korea, LCI and NCI (news) in France, OTE MAM in Greece. I personally oversaw the commissioning of Alands Radio (Finland) and TVP Central Ingest (Poland). I also completed successful support missions to Kazmedia in Kazakhstan, VTV in Vietnam, the Samsung Human Resource Development center in South Korea and many more. In 2018 I participated in the launch of the new World Channel for Euronews Lyon, integrating their existing Dalet Galaxy system with a new Vizrt Opus installation. Vizrt Engine/Pilot and Mosart systems are widely used with Dalet, however this was the first time all the possible integration paths were used in a large scale, high-load news facility, allowing Dalet to market full Vizrt Opus interoperability as a major feature of the Galaxy product. Also that year I completed a bespoke installation for ERT in Athens, allowing fully automated routing of control and video signals between their ingest workstations, video servers and VTRs using a Nevion router. This integration seemed viable from the standards review, but in fact required some serious development in Dalet Galaxy. While in a time-constrained environment on site with the customer, I managed to coordinate with Dalet RnD, technical experts and local system integrator's staff to deliver a fully working solution, which again is now offered commercially to all users.

I was hired to support the introduction of the Morpheus automation and ICE channel-in-a-box to the CIS market in a technical sales role. However, being the only engineer on staff in the region at that moment, I mostly performed support, repair and maintenance for existing users of switcher, router and signal processing products.Together with the CE team out of Wiesbaden, I participated in workshops and trade shows in Russia and Ukraine. I was also responsible for the preparation and on-line support of the fleet of Panorama OB trucks used at the 2013 Kazan Universiade, which are based on Snell signal infrastructure solutions.

Throughout 2 tours over 7 years, I worked as a support engineer, engineering lead and head of shift in the newsroom of a global 24x7 news broadcaster. The role required constant interaction with creative and technical staff of the news department on one side, and the technology experts, infrastructure admins and vendor representatives on the other. My team supported NRCS, MAM, ingest, playout, NLE and archive operations that relied on Dalet, Imagine, AVID, Harmonic and Vizrt hardware and software solutions. As well as enabling day-to-day operations, I was involved in planning and executing system upgrades and new show and channel launches, mainly working alongside Dalet project engineers.

I performed site visits to Spectrum (videoserver) and MediaGrid (production storage) users in Russia and the CIS, providing support and troubleshooting. Also, I covered email, phone and remote support, warranty, repair and logistics issues.I participated in a major project for a state broadcaster, “VGTRK regions phase1”, having commissioned the equipment and trained the broadcaster’s staff in Kursk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Nizhny Novgorod.

Provided first line support to the On-Air Graphics unit of Channel 1 news operations (Vizrt CG, ticker, videowall, virtual studio etc). Worked a 24H control room shift
