▪Developed new features for the Email Security Gateway (ESG) product in the backend (Linux: C/C++) and frontend (Windows: Java client/server, JSP, HTML, etc)▪Worked on various next-release tasks such as new features, upgrading libraries, protocol versions (i.e. TLS), product versioning, security improvements ▪Debugged and resolved escalated issues within ESG by analyzing logs, testing with sample emails, using debugging tools, leading remote sessions with customers, and developing appropriate fixes▪Assessed and resolved security vulnerabilities within ESG brought to us via independent researchers, escalated issues, or our own Product Security and Incident Response Team▪Drafted root cause analysis documents for large customers who faced a critical bug or security incident▪Drafted release documentation and knowledge-base articles for known issues and mitigation▪Drafted security hardening documents to include ways to further improve the security of the product apart from the default configuration▪Overhauled the patch/hotfix process of ESG to be streamlined, simpler for the customers, and in accordance with sprint cycles▪Carried out development, building, packaging, documentation, and release of patches for many live versions of ESG▪Educated team members regarding components of ESG▪Represented my team in the application security corporate guild in an effort to improve code quality among products from a security standpoint through the use of application security testing tools
