Mikhail began his career in the fast-paced world of finance at Oppenheimer & Co, where he quickly distinguished himself, rising to the post of Vice President in three short years. In 1996, Mikhail moved to UBS, where he served as Senior VP until 1998, when the opportunity to serve as Chairman and CEO for the Canadian based, Moneysworth & Best, one of North America’s largest developer/distributors for shoe and foot care, presented itself. Mikhail successfully oversaw the operations for over 15,000 retailers while serving as Chairman. Following his Canada venture Mikhail moved back to New York to co-found Halo Ventures, a series A venture fund focusing on emerging tech. In 2011 Mikhail founded OneBeat, a venture backed media company. As an early stage investor and experienced executive Mikhail invested and played a key leading role at startups such as Scout Media (acquired by NewsCor.), Spongcell (merged with Flashtalking & acquired by Mediaocean), Roambi (acquired by SAP) and Iwin. Mikhail is now immersed in the blockchain and cryptocurrency world, taking all his past experience with him. Today, Mikhail is hyper focused on his vision to transform business operating models for long term success and radical change to meet the new needs of finance, technology, and media. In November 2023 Mikhail joined Adam Stern at SternAgeis Ventures in the role of Managing Director.
