Mikheal McNiel Deans JP ASF BFA is a Jamaican artist, author, educator, Illustrator and businessman. With over a decade of experience as the CEO of Kheal's, a company that provides graphic design, illustration, and branding services to clients across various industries. He is also the founder and curator of the “ Inception Exhibition”, an organization that showcases the creative arts and young talents across Jamaica and the Caribbean diaspora, since 2022. He attended the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.As an artist, author, animator, cartoonist, educator, and illustrator, Deans has a distinctive style and vision that he expresses through his art style Assimilated Formalism. He also practices in other art movements like Impressionism, Digital art, Street art. which explores culture, identity, and gender through line, shape, texture, form, space, color, and gestural marks. His works have been featured in multiple local and international publications and exhibitions, such as Big Gill, Colonial Ties, Reggae Roots, God's Greatest Gift, and INCEPTION. He is also the co-author of I Found My Heart, a collection of poetry and prose that recounts the story of a woman's journey through life's uncertain pathways. Deans is passionate about inspiring and empowering the next generation of creative minds through his teaching and mentoring activities.
