I'm a hands-on software architect and full-stack developer. I have a long experience in building medium to large-scale web applications in the cloud, previously only in Azure and recently also in AWS. During the last few years I have also built several data platforms using Azure data tooling and Spark. What excites me the most at the moment: AWS, React.JS frontends, wrangling data with GeoPandas and map applications.What I enjoy most is programming and other hands-on tasks involved in software development, like setting up CI/CD or IaC. I get a kick out of solution architecture design, but I would rather leave high-level design (e.g. governance modelling) to others. Networking and virtual machines are not my strong suit, but I know my way around all the (other) services needed to build cloud applications (messaging, databases, application hosting etc) in addition to being able to build the apps themselves - full-stack style. I am comfortable building apps in both AWS and Azure.Peculiar facts: I did a six-month traineeship in India (1 year in the country in total) and spent five months backpacking in South America and one month in West Africa.I am an active presenter and co-host in a Jyväskylä based technology Meetup group called .NET.JKL, where we focus on Microsoft tech and Azure.
