Michele d'Alessandro is an Italian International student and a junior majoring in photography at Columbia College Chicago. He previously attended City Colleges of Chicago where he earned an associate degree in photography, graduating with high honors and a 4.0 GPA. Michele takes pride in his passion for learning and his positive and empathic mindset, which allow him to grow and learn from the mentors and peers around him.His current program of study is coaching him to be an independent artist through skills and mindset. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator allows for flexibility on visual arts projects. Michele is versatile in independently utilizing a darkroom, and with making pictures both in analog and digital. He is learning more about photography history and techniques through his current classes at Columbia College, and through being part of the modeling club’s creative team.In the immediate future Michele is looking forward to making new experiences professionally and academically, and seek connections with fellow photographers and artists within the college community. When not working on photography, Michele likes to explore the city of Chicago and admire the beautiful architecture. He is also passionate about documenting nature and his travels, collecting photos from many American states as well as foreign countries.
