I just published my first book, Politically Divided: A How-To Healing Workbook for Families, Friends and Couples (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble), because I wanted to help folks reach across the political divide.My feature film directorial debut, Alto--with the incredible Diana DeGarmo, Natalie Knepp, Ward Horton, Billy Wirth, and Annabella Sciorra--was the Audience Favorite at VisionFest in NYC and earned me a Best First-Time Director Award at Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles. Distributed by Multicom Entertainment Group, it is available on Amazon Prime and other VoD platforms. You can probably even find it on DVD :).I'm currently working on a short action-with-a-conscience series titled Agent of Change with co-creator Shaan Dasani and director Jett Garrison. We plan to shoot the series intro in 2020.I received my MFA in Film, with Honors, from Columbia University, winning an Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Award for my feature script, Indelible, which later went on to win their Feature Film Production Grant. Major film components were shot in Harlem, and director Randall Dottin along with producer Melanie RW Oram are working toward its completion.
