Worked as a technical expert to develop a next-generation global private cloud platform based onLinux and modern tools used in the DevOps field. The generic platform supports JavaPOS-based third-party commercial off the shelf POS (Point of Sale) applications and hardware, including a central data center environment. The long-term solution is designed to scale to multiple countries, with thousands of servers that can be managed from different countries and service locations, supporting different languages and service staff.The technical project team consists of a team of senior Linux / Unix developers and systemengineers where I had a central role in the development of the next generation platform.My work on a daily basis leaned toward developing and integrating various subsystems withinthe solution, such as: automating installations using network installation (PXE), centralizing andmanaging the solution from a central location, integration of fiscal hardware and requirements,integration of various POS peripherals, platform hardening, package drivers and build custompackages for deployment and bootstrapping, configuration management, desktop customizationand other miscellaneous stuff on OS level.Products: SUSE Enterprise Linux Server, Python, SLED, Gnome, GnomeJS, Docker, SaltStack,Ansible, Fabric, Rundeck, Jenkins, Open Build Service, Gitlab, Elasticsearch, Mattermost, Redmine, Django, Bootstrap, GPG, Icinga/Shinken Monitoring, Kerberos, Nginx, Apache, Memcached, Redis, Celery, Gunicorn, MySQL, BIND DNS, FreeRADIUS, TFTP, NTP, DHCP, RPM, VNC/Websockify

I worked within operations as lead operational engineer deploying and troubleshooting theplatform making sure the downtime was minimal to achieve the customer's Service LevelAgreement (SLA).
