My responsibilities were to plan the overall schedule for the next 3 - 6 months including for example millions of dollars of tooling investments and various verification tests. My daily tasks were to prioritize tasks according to PMT decisions and organize available resources to make sure we can hit the deadlines on time.Kavo Kerr is a leading company in Finland in lean business and part of that is that everybody is involved in daily management / daily meetings with other team members. I led one to three daily meetings every day to make sure daily tasks were able to be completed on time. I gained strong knowledge of new product introduction projects and product realization processes. At the same time, I was assigned to be a leading mechanical engineer in the lateralization shoulder coil project.I initiated and successfully lead a cost saving project (6/2013 – 6/2014). In this project I managed over 10 machined parts that were redesigned for injection molding. New design reduced costs and improved reliability. Annual savings were more than $250k.I was a leading mechanical design engineer in the head-neck coil project from the beginning of the project (3/2011-6/2012). In this project, the team produced a coil for a low cost system and cost-effective solutions were key to success. Coil was designed in the USA, but the final product was fully assembled and manufactured in China. During the later phases of the project I also supported a product transfer to China. Show less

Good knowledge of the medical standards was a requirement to qualify my work.During 2010 I did different types of mechanical design tasks for HIFU-device (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound).In the beginning of 2006 my primary task was to examine and design solutions for thermal problems in torso coil project. At the same time I also wrote my master’s thesis. The main objective of this study was to prove that the MRI torso coil conforms to existing product standards.This master's thesis provides a brief introduction to the basics of heat transfer and thermal engineering in electronic equipment. It also outlines new ways to cool the electronic components and the coil as a whole. The concluding chapter provides a summary of experimental test results and suggestions for better thermal engineering. Show less
