Introducing new technologies in key production areas, application harmonization and consolidation and better cost control with more efficiency was driving the focus. As a virtual team member I also contributed to Posti Digital Customer Services unit and was responsible of ICT stream in two major customer implementation projects. I was also managing and participating in several strategic IT & business development programs. Member of management team of Domestic Road and Air & Sea and member of Itella Logistics Oy’s Management Team. Itella Logistics (0,8 mds €, 6.700 employees, 8 countries) was former logistics division of Posti Group. Services covered all forms of logistics from freight forwarding and parcel services to contract logistics in the Northern Europe and Russia.

I had overall responsibility of VR Transpoint’s IT management & development. My key role was to enable business-IT alignment. I was responsible of IT services of the company in Finland, Baltics countries, Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECS) and Russian Federation. Member of VR Transpoint Management Team at division level.VR Group (1,8 mds €, 11.000 employees & 11 countries at the time) serves freight and public transport customers with rail and road services. VR Transpoint (0,5 mds €, 3.000 employees at the time) as part of the VR Group provides rail transport and supplementary road transport services such as mass goods (FTL) and international logistics.
