I’ve always been tinkering with computer software and hardware, but I've never thought that I’ll be running high profile testing projects like the 2020 US Elections for ABC News. My career began in NY as a web developer where I found my love for technology, which I continued pursuing through a few positions, eventually becoming a quality engineer and leader for large distributed teams. I've been working with Perl, Java/JSP, mastered PHP, a bit of Ruby and Node, Bash/shell scripts and Py, which all lead me to the obtain the Quality Assurance and Project management skills I have today. As a Sr. Manager in Productivity Engineering, I've been scoping and building new testing methods, creating proof of concept and prototype tools to test the unexplored, the invisible and areas believed to be hardly automatable. I tested and deployed these solutions into real life mobile, web and OTT projects, onboarding wider groups of product managers, pmo’s, software engineers and testers. I ensured these processes are built out and that they contribute to higher quality products. I utilize my skills in technology and project management to lead cross-functional teams to success and hire and onboard the best talent. Strategic leadership and communication are important values, as they allow me to build strong relationships with my teams, and better understand the end-users needs. I implement scrum and agile methodologies to provide tactical solutions to complex problems, managing projects throughout entire life cycle. I have led multiple high-profile projects including manual and automated testing, delivering success to multiple areas of digital business units. I deliver, test, and deploy solutions into various web and mobile projects – for both iOS and Android. Notable projects include ABC News, DisneyLife streaming app, EMEA Disney Channel App, and thousands of EMEA websites.Most of my free time is spent on tech-related hobbies including being a notorious self-hoster (bitwarden, mail, nextcloud (data, carddav/caldav, ttrss) on raspi. I have a passion for IOT (HA with 121 Zigbee devices and a few Wifi that I couldn’t avoid), Robot Vacuums, Proxmox, hacking around with routers (openwrt + automated provisioning), and I also have my own PKI.
