I am a nationally recognized in-house counsel and former law firm Partner with broad experience in litigation, dispute resolution, complex negotiations, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, compliance, data privacy, business and legal operations, crisis management, employment, and trust & safety. Most recently, I was Associate General Counsel, Community Trust at Airbnb, Inc. I joined Airbnb in 2020 to help prepare the company for its IPO and build a high performing team responsible for advising stakeholders globally on the company’s complex trust & safety, anti-discrimination, data privacy, and compliance matters while balancing business objectives against legal risk. I served as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to cross-functional business teams across the company that developed and operationalized policies and products using artificial intelligence to boost business performance and efficiency. I worked closely with executive team members on innovative solutions for some of Airbnb’s most challenging issues as a Fortune 500 public company.Prior to joining Airbnb, I was a first chair litigation Partner at two of Colorado’s premier law firms. I represented entrepreneurs, tech startups, municipalities, government officials, hospitals and healthcare providers, Fortune 300 companies and other businesses across the country. I negotiated complex agreements and tried cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions nationwide. I was co-chair of my firm’s diversity committee and founded the acclaimed women’s initiative, the Women in Leadership Lecture Series, which won the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s George B. Vashon Innovator Award. I am a frequent speaker on DE&I issues. I’ve won national and local awards for my work in these areas. I’ve also served as the Board President for organizations that support diverse lawyers and students from underrepresented communities who want to become attorneys.
