I’m a futurist and inventor, someone who creates new solutions for new problems. It’s not about being a head-down IT guy – I’m a technological architect with a broad perspective on the shift in how people buy, experience, play, work and (especially) travel.People say I’m a “marketect” like that’s a bad thing, but it’s not. It means having IT know-how plus product and go-to-market vision, taking a business ideal and turn it into technological reality. That’s what I do.And my thinking is global. I have over 20 years’ experience envisioning and delivering software projects and online architectures for cross-cultural contexts. I’m a world traveler, an international citizen who’s developed products and projects in Europe, China, Latin America and the US. My career in business strategy and technology vision began at age 22, when I dropped out of university in Italy to jump on my first start-up in the UK. When I returned to academia, it was as a teacher. My learning has come from real-world experience – from surviving the dot-com bubble to developing large-scale architecture for IT providers to tech leadership and digital transformation in the travel & tourism sector.Lots of people say they love to travel; I’ve made a living from it. Travel tech is my calling, and I’ve turned my passion into profits. I’ve created blockchain-based, decentralized architectures that are pushing travel businesses forward in big ways.I’m always interested in expanding my professional network with similar-minded people in travel, or neighboring industries. Or talk to me about your revolutionary business or tech idea – I’m eager to learn, and might be able to help.
