As a Post-doctoral Fellow, I developed numerous optical diagnostic tools for tracking dynamic events covering time scales ranging from micro-seconds to minutes, and length scales spanning micro-meter to cm.In this role, I developed various imaging and spectroscopic systems in deep-UV, visible, Infrared and mid-IR regimes and established collaborations with multiple academic and government laboratories in areas covering laser additive manufacturing, reactive and energetic material characterization, as well as measurement of organophosphorus chemical agent simulants.Accomplishments:- 2 Granted US patents- 4 Successful projects in collaboration with organizations such as Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory, and Army Research Laboratory

My PhD research was primarily focused on developing computational microscopic imaging instruments.As a graduate student I was heavily involved in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of a number of novel computational imaging systems including a high-speed multiphoton microscope, an ultrafast fiber optic imager, and a snapshot hyperspectral microscope.The emphasis of my dissertation was to maximize the information throughput of the optical systems to overcome bottlenecks faced by the current industry standard technologies.Key responsibilities included:1) Conceptualization, theoretical and model based (MATLAB, Python and Zemax) validation and optimization of novel imaging systems2) CAD design, and opto-mechanical implementation of the developed concepts3) Analog electronics design, signal detection, digitization, and synchronization4) Algorithm design, and signal processing
