The Myra Falls mining operation was previously owned by leading global zinc and lead producer Nyrstar. Following the company’s financial restructuring in 2019, Trafigura became a majority shareholder, and the mine is now part of the Trafigura Mining Group portfolio.

Formerly Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. , a TSX-listed company with operations in Canada, the U.S., and Chile prior to the acquisition of the company by KGHM in 2012 for CAD $2.8B.During these five years, my role and reporting structure changed continuously to meet shifting business needs and changing HR structure. •Acted as the HR Manager for employees in the Vancouver office and for the fast-growing Ajax project in Kamloops. •Managed annual global compensation process, performance management, delivered training, managed global mobility, benefits & pension plans, completed numerous HR projects, such as setting up scholarships in the USA and Canada, implementing employee recognition program, developing Global Mobility Policy, amongst many others. •Recruited various positions for the corporate office in Vancouver, Ajax project, and Sierra Gorda project in Chile. Worked with immigration/tax consultants to ensure compliance with Canadian-US tax regulations and prepared job offers to transitioning Vantage executives. Evaluated and selected appropriate benefit provider and coordinated orientation meetings with Midway employees to introduce new benefit package; Collaborated on development of the MidCo website.• Supported the Operational Readiness Teams with their HR needs contributing to a timely and seamless construction and opening of Larnaka and Paphos airports in Cyprus, and expansion of Lynden Pindling Int’l Airport in Nassau, Bahamas. • Led the selection and implementation of the HR Management System (ADP) resulting in the error-free and timely implementation, improved data management and HR function able to act more strategically.
