This is where my marketing journey started. During 6 months I learned everything there is to learn about marketing, and that’s where my second attempt at starting an e-commerce store began, this time it was a success! With my first order coming from Los Angeles, California, this is where it took off. I founded a marketing agency not too much later to help other e-commerce stores do the same. After a failed attempt to acquire an e-commerce store, I saw a big opportunity to help other businesses to raise capital.I founded Straise with a business partner with the mission to help European founders raise capital from VCs and angels. After 2 years, I decided to rebrand the firm to Everest Square Capital and do a buy-out of my partner’s shares. I chose to specialize in healthcare investment banking transactions, helping European Pharma, biotech, medtech & digital health startups with their Series A & B rounds. During the 3 years of being an “entrepreneurial banker” and having helped raise over €150 million, I got the opportunity to commit to an investment thesis I found rather interesting. In March 2022, I co-founded Cross Ocean Ventures with Serhat Pala and Zeynep Ilgaz. Fast forward almost a decade since my start as an entrepreneur, I’m now proud to be one of the co-founding GPs of Cross Ocean Ventures, having combined my passion for the USA and investing into one: Investing & helping European 🇪🇺 founders to expand to the USA 🇺🇸
