I was asked to join Anobii for a short period at a time of rapid growth and a major internal rewrite of the front and backend codebases so that the platform could be deployed across multiple web and app devices.

A contract to rapid develop prototype sub-sites for the postcode gazette portal using various data sources that are public, government and commercially sourced. These included a travel, education and retail sub-sites.

Developing Elgg on behalf of Hedgehogs.net as well as contributing back code to the core Elgg framework. The technologies I most work with are PHP, JQuery, HTML & CSS as well as other random bits and pieces.

The contract was to develop a virtual fantasy football betting site for Ladbrokes. The site contained a live realvideo stream of a real-time generated virtual match, so this meant a lot of javascript had to be written to control the current state of the match/season/user's betting etc... To scale on performance we used PHP Symfony combined with memcached.

I work within the BT Web21C group which provides web services and SDK's to internal and external developers using the very best development techniques.
