With over five years of experience as a social worker in various settings, I am passionate about supporting students' well-being and safety at Hanford Joint Union High School District. As a school social worker, I partner with the school staff, families, and community agencies to provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, counseling, and referral services to students who face academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. I also contribute to the development and implementation of prevention and intervention programs that promote a positive school climate and address students' needs. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University, a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Worker, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California. My skills and credentials enable me to advocate for students' rights, provide legal and ethical guidance, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. I am committed to advancing the mission of Hanford Joint Union High School District, which is to provide high-quality education that prepares students for college and career success. I am also motivated by the opportunity to bring my perspectives and experiences as a veteran, a survivor, and a social worker to the team, and to learn from my colleagues and the students I serve.
