Mildred López es la Titular de la División de Desarrollo del Proceso Educativo en el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS). Tiene un doctorado en Innovación Educativa, una maestría en sistemas de calidad y productividad, es Ingeniera mecatrónica y Psicóloga. Es investigadora de nivel I en el Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) de México, fellow de la Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) y fellow de la Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education (FAIMER). Es autora y editora de 4 libros, más de 80 publicaciones y 13 capítulos de libros sobre innovación educativa en salud. Es Editora ejecutiva de la Revista Mexicana de Educación Médica, y participa en la junta editorial de diferentes revistas científicas. Participa activamente en organizaciones profesionales como la Federación Latinoamericana de Simulación Clínica y Seguridad del Paciente (FLASIC), la Red Nacional de Educadores en Simulación Clínica (RENASIM) en México, y la red Vida Sana para la Protección de Eventos Pandémicos (HL - PIVOT).
