Spearheaded a strategic planning process, branding campaign and recruited over 40 new members from twelve sectors (business, education, faith community, health providers, youth, parents, etc.) of the local community to join the coalition and support the mission of working together to promote community involvement in the prevention of substance use and its consequences through advocacy, education and resource networking. Recipient of the 2007 Andrew O’Donovan Coalition of the Year. Successfully initiated fiscal relationships with SAMHSA, Westar Energy and Spirit AeroSystems to accomplish program goals.

Acting Executive Director responsible for managing and training eight (8) full time staff, one volunteer, and one doctoral level intern. Successes to date include developing partnerships with 316TRZ (The Rescue Zone gang prevention coalition), providing True Colors, Strategic Prevention Framework and Kansas Communities that Care training to organizational staff, and implemented strategic thinking session, developed a programmatic strategic plan, redefined goals and program interventions towards effectively meeting outcomes/expectations for all programs.
