Working on managing projects for the last 23 years, the projects varying from large to small and very different in nature. Working on Localization projects requiring outsourcing vendors, testing, and managing translations has given me great experience on vendor management and the opportunity to deal with diversity in culture/teams, software development, testing and many cross functional teams. Working in the Travel industry gave me the opportunity to work with projects including data consolidation in large scale from several sources and from different parts of the world. I have also worked directly with customers, as an Account Manager of a small company, being the great majority of the projects in the Public Safety industry. It has brought me a different perspective of Project Management. Being the vendor in some cases gave a more comprehensive management style. Face to face with customers and partners, effective participation in business decisions and contracts, requirements gathering, budgeting and business analysis are just a few of the responsibilities I had in this role. Lastly, working in the Engineering team of a software company, managing software internationalization and localization. I interact with multiple development teams and localization vendors located all over the world, utilizing top technology and tools. Selecting the right vendors, working, and evangelizing L10N best practices with developers, and managing the localization of large software in several languages have given me great experience in this industry.
