We made an album about environmental issues. All of our songs were recorded and performed using a looping sequencer and a makeshift instrument built by rubber bands and a cardboard box. We also performed at the Long Beach Funk Festival and Amoeba record store(2012) At age 13, I won a submission based competition and was flown to Oakland be a part of the soundtrack for a children's book called Pachas Pajamas. The soundtrack included Mos Def and Talib Kweli. All of our songs were heavily conscious and environmental charged.

First started my relationship with New IS in 2021. I was a guest speaker for a class on how to use art for activism. Fast forward to January 2023, I designed and facilitated my first course for the high school.I traveled to Tokyo to teach in person for 6 weeks. From the time I left to present day, I have continued to teach virtually and create curriculum for the school.Class 1: The Art and Science of Release Therapy (How to healthily channel emotions through art)Class 2: Live Poet Society (Spoken word poetry 101)Class 3: A-Z Guerrilla Film Guide (How to make DIY films | from creative conception to release strategy)Class 4: Road to Project X: Facilitating students through a semester of preparing for a group art exhibition.

I first started attending Leila Steinberg's weekly emotional literacy based poetry workshops when I was 12 years old.I eventually grew into becoming a core member of the non-profit's programming and brand development teams.I have collaborated with Leila to design curriculum that has been taught in Japan and soon to be South Africa. In 2023, I was one of 25 artist selected to participate in a global music residency called One Beat 11. It was a fellowship program with musicians from 17 other countries powered by Foundsound Nation nonprofit and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.We spent two weeks on a residency campus in New Smyrna Beach Florida then completed a two week tour playing shows in Gainesville Florida, Jackson Mississippi and New Orleans. I was brought on as a poet and producer. I had the pleasure of creating a compilation album featuring all the other fellows over music that I produced. The sonics ranged from native South African throat singing and Algerian gimbri rhythms to classical Cuban acoustic guitar.

In 2021 I was elicited by S.O.S.L.'s founder Tiffany Persons to create and run an alumni mentorship program to support members of the school's community that had graduated and were learning to navigate adulthood.
