I have worked for over 10 years in the Occupational Health field, delivering high quality Occupational Health services to a number of industries. Along the way I have been involved in a number of exciting projects, with the most noteworthy being the Olympic Park Development. It was here that I first saw the varied role that physiotherapy can play in not only managing musculoskeletal disorders, but also in the prevention of these. In recognition of this, the team involved in the delivery of this service was awarded the RoSPA's Astor Trophy.Over the years I have seen a real change in the landscape of Occupational Health, and in particular Physiotherapy's role in this sector. I have been fortunate enough to have progressively moved into a management role where I was overseeing the delivery of these services. In 2014 I started my role as Head of Occupational Health Services at Crystal Palace Physio Group where I currently work. I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of a wide range of Occupational Health Services to a diverse client base. I have an enthusiastic team of skilled clinicians and team members working with me to deliver exceptional customer service and high quality clinical standards.I also sit on the Association for Charted Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) which is a professional body responsible for guiding the profession in Occupational Health Standards. I am excited about the role OH Physiotherapy has to play in the Health and Wellbeing of our clients and the larger public. I feel our role as profession is ideally situated to meet the health challenges we currently face.

As the Musculoskeletal services manger at Duradiamond Healthcare I am responsible for a number of Occupational Health Physiotherapists across a variety of industries. I am involved in ensuring the clinical management and reporting is of a consistently high standard. I also report back to the business on the services we deliver to allow them to better understand the role and scope of Occupational Health within their business.As an Occupational Health physiotherapist I am responsible for the clinical management of those employees referred to me for treatment. I form part of a multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Health Nurses and Physicians with the aim of facilitating the early return to work of those employees referred to see me. In addition to my management role, I am also involved in the clinical management of employees. Along with delivering evidence based treatments, I report back to the business on the functional ability of the individual in an attempt to return them to work in a safe and effective manner.I have extensive experience in developing and delivering Health Promotion events. These engaging and interactive events add a new dimension to the Occupational Health Physiotherapy service delivered and focus on the prevention of the development of muscle and joint injuries along with the overall well-being of the individual.
