Vision Aerial is an American drone manufacturing company that specializes in medium and small lift platforms tailored to clients in Wildfire defense, Oil and gas, Surveying, Agriculture, and Construction. During my summer internship here I expanded my knowledge of drone manufacturing and assembly, additionally since Vision Aerial was able to make parts in-house, I got the opportunity to work in their production department, where I was able to help contribute to an increase in their production efficiency.

During the summer of 2019, I interned for one of the largest Machinist companies in the Pacific Northwest. I interned helping out in a project manager role. I helped plan several large-scale Boeing jobs such as drill jigs for the 737 Max and the 777, and assembly jigs for various aircraft. I also was able to help plan jobs for Blue Origin, and Sandia National Laboratories. On a day-to-day basis, I would use Solidworks and Excel, to create Engineering Drawings and Work Orders for manufactured parts.

During my time at MRJ, I assisted on job sites as a laborer. I assisted in some carpentry work, job site cleanup, and organization.

during this apprenticeship I worked with CAD (Rhino Software) software on a daily basis, designing parts for Makerologist's open-source 3D printers. I worked with my supervisor in designing and prototyping a cooling system for the 3D printer to prevent the printed products from deforming during the manufacturing process. I also designed Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). learning Kits for schools to educate children about electronics and programming.
