Greene County Fertilizer Company is a small business that makes eco-friendly fertilizers designed to nourish soil ecosystems.I have done IT on the side for Greene County Fertilizer Company since at least 2010, having set up and maintained all of their computers and even making the company logo.After a long period of unemployment within my career field following massive industry-wide layoffs, GCFC offered to take me on formally during their annual Lawncology conference. So far, my duties have included:• Am assisting in the creation of a B2B Shopify site with a customized theme.• Designed and am about to implement a robust backup strategy to ensure serious data loss is impossible.• Designed and am about to procure and implement an enterprise-grade NAS to centralize, protect, and serve critical data across the company.• Dramatically improved network security and speed by optimizing topology, introducing segmentation, and resolving network configuration issues (like BufferBloat).• Procurement, setup, and configuration of edge router with enterprise-grade features.• Identified building electrical concerns and proposed resolutions.• Represented the company at a Green Industry tech conference.• Created and maintained custom high-availability embedded systems powering mission-critical digital whiteboards.• Introduced kanbans and some aspects of Agile methodology, which the company has found transformative and greatly beneficial.• Assessment of technical needs and risks, and translation of business requirements into actionable plans.• Procurement, setup, maintenance, and optimization of employee workstations.

General Motors is one of the World's largest companies, and one of America's big 3 auto manufacturers. While at GM, I worked on Owner Center (OC), Service Workbench (CSE/SWB), and the Business Development Center (BDC). I primarily performed frontend development in Angular/AngularJS/React, TypeScript/JavaScript, PrimeNg/MaterialUI/Bootstrap, & Sass/Less/CSS. Off Campus Book Store, Inc (sometimes referred to as the Off Campus Group) was an umbrella company consisting of Dawgwear (an online merchandising company with its own location), Pro-Copies (a copying service and student notes supplier, located at Baxter Street Book Store), and several brick & mortar retail stores: Off Campus Book Store, Baxter Street Book Store, East Campus Book Store, and ABC Book Store.At the beginning of my last year of university, I was hired at Off Campus Book Store as a part-time salesfloor temp, and was shortly thereafter promoted to be their sole IT technician. I worked at all locations except for East Campus Book Store.Some of my more outstanding accomplishments were that I:• Got a mission-critical 16-bit app running on 64-bit Windows, with printing support.• Replaced an old failed server overnight, avoiding immense revenue loss during book-rush.• Recovered data from an MBR-less UFS drive, using FreeBSD and Arch Linux.• Frequently cloned larger disks onto smaller disks using common UNIX utilities.• In VirtualBox, set up several Linux and BSD distros, OSX, FreeDOS, and several versions of Windows.• Set up DD-WRT on a router.• Successfully performed surgery on a tablet computer.• Proactively identified and reported website bugs.• Created and documented an IT repository.
